Ruger was our hiking buddy, an avid water dog, a skilled pheasant-hunting dog. He knew exactly how to interact with most every dog he met, and met very few people he didnt love. He loved belly rubs, but not snuggles or smooches, usually strong-arming the perpetrator away! Theres no place any of us have traveled where we didnt scope out swimming holes or fun activities for Ruger, even if he wasnt with us. His loss is a ragged tear in our familys fabric.
