Blacky was born in the streets of Puerto Rico, he spent many years living homeless. Until one day a boy found him in the corner of his Grand Mother’s house, he was a skinny and friendly dog. Seeing the boy he approached nervously, the boy gave him a slice of chorizo pizza and at that moment Blacky knew this was his boy. He happily jumped on the boys lap and licked him and ever since that day they became a family. The boy took Blacky to Rochester, New York and took him home. The family accepted and loved Blacky for many years, but eventually Blacky caught heart worms. With Blacky’s strength and help from doctors. Blacky survived after many months of treatment. This lead to many years more in Blacky’s life, he became a chubby 13 pound dog and lived very happy with his family. Years caught up with Blacky though and at the ripe old age of 17, he had a nerve root tumor, sadly. He fought as hard as he could day after day limping and falling unable to live his life the way he wanted. The moment came where his boy could not bare to see Blacky suffer more, Blacky was euthanized and sent on his way to heaven…His family mourning and holding him tight in their heart for eternity. We will forever love you Blacky.
