Lewis spent the first year of his life in a medical testing lab being experimented on. He was bred and born to be used as a test subject.
A wonderful animal rights organization named Beagle Freedom Project was able to secure his release, along with his cell mate who we named Clark. Initially we fostered Lewis, but he quickly became part of our family and we officially adopted him.
Lewis was such a sweet boy, but he never completely overcame his many fears. He was a real character and loved to go into his outdoor catio which was attached to our house.
We miss him greatly, but know that he is now in the loving care of Jesus and we will see him again.
