We got Ollie back in 2016 from a woman who found out a local stray had babies. The day we came home she was the size of a softball, nothing but a small grey puff hiding in a corner. A few weeks later we took Oliver in to get neutered, only for the doctors to return her and tell us that she was actually a little lady. She always wanted to be around people and specifically took a liking to me. Throughout the years this small puff of grey grew into such a loving and beautiful girl, my honey. She wanted nothing more than to lay against you and be pet until your arm grew tired. Her meow was always very scratchy, and had a very funny bleat to it – a lot like a sheep. That would be the reasoning behind her nickname – Baa. She also had the largest eyes, like looking at globes when you would watch her watch the birds outside. We always picked on her for looking so nervous all the time, these big old eyes and airplane ears at every sound. Ollie could not possibly be close enough to me, she would shove her body into me and constantly try to scoot closer and burrow in to my side or armpit when I wasnt looking. She was only 6, we came home to her in distress out of nowhere and ended up having to lose her the same day. It never feels fair when these things happen to the ones we love, but what we had for them and with them is what its really all about. Ill always have a small missing grey piece of my heart. To my little lady, my Ollie.
