Daisy came to us from a friend who was dying when Daisy was 5. She had her quirks, but quickly became an integral part of our family and neighborhood. Daisy thrived under the attention she got from Will with frequent ball playing sessions and adventures to the park .She loved to put her 75 lb. body in a single bed to sleep with Liz when she was with us. Daisy hugs and cuddles should be patented.
Daisy had good dog and people friends- Jameson, Ciri, Stella, Ruby, Georgie and Charlie, Little Daisy and Kassie, and their owners. Late in life she met Will’s puppy , Rider, to whom she was a patient Aunt Daisy and role model. She terrorized squirrels in the yard in her early years with us, but gradually came to accept them as part of the landscape. Apologies to Finnegan and her owners whom she continued to terrorize at the fence until her final days.
We will miss our big, goofy, loving hound dog. It will be tough after work when Daisy is not there barking to hurry me up for our evening walk, and the couch will be lonely when Daisy is not on it. I really hope that rainbow bridge is real, and Daisy Mae will be greeted by Bob, Debbie and Jameson to have adventures and cuddles with full mobility and no pain. This sweet dog will remain with us always in our memories. We were lucky to have found one another.
Please accept my condolences in the loss of loving Daisy Mae. You welcomed her warmly into hour heart and home. Like you, I truly hope there is a Rainbow Bridge. Faith keeps me going.
